Time to talk day 2024
1st February 2024
Let’s talk about mental health
February 1st is Time to Talk Day, which gives us a chance to speak openly about mental health and to direct you to the support Access Training offer.
Becky Dutton is the Safeguarding Manager at Access Training and has been with us since 1999. Becky ensures that all our staff are trained to recognise changes in mental health and behaviour and uses this to raise any concerns.
Here’s what Becky has to say; “We are committed to ensuring that every learner at Access Training is happy, safe and secure.
“It’s important we all look out for signs for mental illness and keep an eye on those around us. We also want to encourage people to talk to each other. Talking about what you’re going through will remind you that you are not alone and that you do have support.
“Well Online is a free service for our learners. It is a comprehensive wellbeing resource, offering information, advice and confidential support. They offer a wealth of practical tips, and stimulating reading, which is worth exploring. Whatever challenges you are facing, you will find the help you need.
“If you are struggling with anything in particular or simply need a chat about your mental health get in touch. They are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year.”
