Corrina Hembury has worked in Further Education for over 20 years serving as Director level at 2 other Training Providers. As Managing Director at Access Training, she is responsible for the strategic and operational running of the organisation, always putting learners at the heart of decisions. She currently serves as a Vice Chair of NOCN, one of the country’s largest Awarding Organisations and a leading educational charity.

Will Nixon is the Chair of Access Training following 30 years working in senior roles in the education and training, housing, regeneration, and social enterprise sectors. Will was formerly Deputy Chief Executive of Aspire Housing based in North Staffordshire and was Managing Director of PM Training, their training subsidiary who supported over 2,500 people a year. Will is also a Board Member and Treasurer of Social Enterprise UK, the national membership body of social enterprises as well as Adra, the largest housing association based in North Wales.

Helen has worked in the housing and training professions for 30 years, she is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Housing, who has influenced housing policy and practice as a former Trustee on the CIH National Council and Regional Board Chair. She has extensive non-executive experience and supports Access Trainings Board in the capacity of a non-executive Director.
Helen is a Company Director with ARK Consultancy and leads their People division; she has a keen interest in personal development and has been instrumental in leading cultural change and transformation programmes. She works with organisations to create powerful and empowering cultures that ensure their overall success, supporting their organisational development and improving performance. She also heads up the ARK Academy which offers innovative – and bespoke - training and personal development solutions. |
Nicola joined the board in January 2022.
Her background combines commercial acumen with social purpose. She is a business owner-manager, and an experienced non-executive board member and trustee. Nicola has a strong track record in business growth and marketing, having more than thirty years’ experience of working with people and organisations across numerous sectors, including housing, regeneration, education, care, engineering, manufacturing and technology. Nicola is a purposeful leader, whose guiding ethos is that, above all, people matter. Wherever she contributes, Nicola is a leader of excellence, and she upholds values of integrity, quality and innovation, as a reflection that people deserve the best. Her ultimate vision is to enable every person or organisation she connects with to be the best they can be, so they, in turn, can create positive ripples of impact. Before running Creative Bridge, a specialist marketing and communications agency, Nicola held senior-level posts in housing and education for more than 15 years. She is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Housing, an active member of the Association of Business Leaders, the former chair of Achieve Training, former NED of Aspire Housing, and a current trustee of North Shakespeare Trust. Tim joined Access Training as a board member in August 2024. He is currently the CEO at Futures Housing Group and has nearly 20 years’ experience in housing, most recently at The Barnet Group in north London where he was also Chief Executive.
The Barnet Group is responsible for all aspects of homelessness and housing in the borough. It includes the ALMO (arms-length management organisation) which manages the council’s housing stock, a care and a support company, a registered provider, and a sales and lettings agent. The organisation delivered the first new-build council housing in the area for nearly 50 years and set up its own registered provider of social housing which developed and acquired over 800 new homes.
Previously Tim was Group Director, Customer Services at L&Q, London's largest housing association where, amongst other things, he was responsible for rolling out the direct maintenance service as well as the stock investment programme.
