Access Training Ltd has been chosen by Notts County Football Club as its Front-of-Home-Shirt Sponsor for the 2022-23 season.
Here’s some information on the partnership and what it means to the learners and employers of Nottingham.
Why was Access Training chosen as a Notts County FC sponsor?
Our sponsorship agreement with Notts County FC has been made possible by the generosity of Cadbury, the nation’s favourite chocolate, who have donated the advertising opportunity.
Towards the end of 2021, Notts County supporters were invited to submit a bid outlining why they thought their employer deserved to be the home shirt sponsor. Antony Carr – Access Training’s Finance Officer and lifelong supporter of the club – seized the opportunity to show how Access Training’s ethos was perfectly aligned to that of Cadbury. After all, the mission of the historic Cadbury brand – that of “helping others to help themselves” – is as relevant today as it was when first established in 1824. What better way to empower learners in this way, than by improving their career and life chances through practical training?
Cadbury and Notts County were both keen to support a Nottingham-based business that is serving a community severely affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.
Our young learners and job seekers have been hit hard by Covid, and it’s more important than ever that they are offered a helping hand in improving their skills, building their confidence, and improving their employability.
The partnership appeared the perfect fit for all three parties.

We will also be working with the club to host learner and employer events and initiatives.
What does the partnership between Notts County FC and Access Training mean for Nottingham?
The partnership will allow Access Training to reach a much wider cohort of learners, families and business owners in the Nottingham area – matching them with appropriate skills training.
There will be an exciting schedule of activities for the season ahead. Watch this space and keep an eye on our social media channels…

Thoughts from our MD Corrina Hembury and Finance Officer Antony Carr on Access Training's partnership with Notts County FC...
When business meets pleasure!
As part of our sponsorship, the children of our Finance Officer, Antony Carr, were invited to take part as mascots at the pre-season friendly between Notts County and Nottingham Forest. Antony's family have been avid fans of County for some years, so they were all hugely excited to meet their footballing heroes.
It marks the start of Antony's 20th year with us; and it was his idea to apply to Notts County for the sponsorship, made possible with the generous support of Cadbury.
How wonderful that his family can now reap the fruits of his labour!
