East Midlands Chamber’s Business Award Winner - Apprentice of the Year (Derbyshire) announced by Access Training
18th November 2022
It was an honour for Access Training to be the sponsor of the Apprentice of the Year category of East Midlands Chamber's Business Awards (Derbyshire) 2022.
Apprenticeships really are an effective route into getting the hands-on experience needed for a rewarding career. They play a huge part in helping our region to nurture and retain its very best talent.
Our Managing Director, Corrina Hembury, was part of the judging panel who had the difficult task of choosing the winner.
The shortlist of finalists was as follows:
The winner was announced as Cameron Browne of Devtank at the Awards ceremony at Pride Park, Derby on Friday, 11th November. Unfortunately, Cameron wasn’t at the event in person but his award was received on his behalf by his Devtank colleagues.
Corrina said,
“Sponsoring the Apprentice of the Year category in this way proves the perfect opportunity to celebrate the career progression of Derbyshire’s apprentices.
Quite frankly, I was blown away by the standard of the applications but Cameron stood out because of his enthusiasm for the engineering sector and the energy and passion he has brought to his role and the training he’s undertaking.
All at Access Training wish him the very best in completing his apprenticeship and in his valuable work in the engineering sector.”
