Access Training Supporting Kickstart Scheme
5th May 2021
Access Training are delighted to announce two new partnerships with Kickstart Gateway organisations to deliver employability training to young people on the Kickstart Programme.
Kickstart is a Government programme that will cover the cost of a six-month placement for 16 to 24-year-olds who are on Universal Credit or at risk of long-term unemployment whilst providing employability training to the individuals to support them to find sustainable employment.
Access will be working with the East Midlands Chamber and Norman Galloway Homes to provide over 250 young people with support in English, maths and employment support helping to create jobs and opportunities for young people otherwise facing unemployment due to the pandemic.
Corrina Hembury, Managing Director of Access Training, said: “We know that young people have been disproportionately affected by the pandemic and are delighted to offer our support to this programme. We will be providing training and support to individuals to help them progress onto new opportunities, including apprenticeships, giving a fantastic pathway for individuals and employers to grow together.”
