Access Training selected as a delivery partner for the UK Shared Prosperity Fund in Nottingham
2nd February 2023
There’s been a lot of coverage recently about how Nottingham has lost out to other towns and cities in the latest round of the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.
It makes the news that we have been selected as a delivery partner for Nottingham City Council’s £8.6 million share of UKSPF monies even more important. Our ‘People and Skills’ project as part of our Access Works provision will start in April 2024, and will help us to upskill even more of our region’s workforce and support them into employment.
The project will support unemployed City residents to develop improved social skills in a post-Covid environment which include managing personal finances and household budgets during a rising cost of living crisis, developing digital skills to use online platforms such as MS Teams for increased employment prospects, enhancing communication skills and rediscovering teamwork, analytical and problem solving approaches, improving emotional resilience, self-esteem and confidence.
We will support over 100 residents during the 2024/25 year, upskilling them to confidently search for and secure employment and qualifications.
