Access Training announced as finalist for three of the region’s most prestigious awards
17th August 2022
We’re delighted that Access Training has once again been announced as a finalist for three of our region’s most prestigious awards.
Firstly, we’ve been shortlisted for the East Midlands Chamber’s Enterprising Women Awards – Small Business category. Sponsored by Unique Window Systems in Leicester, this award aims to recognise a business leader who owns or manages an established organisation with less than 50 employees, and whose company is able to show consistent growth backed by a strong financial performance and clear future plans and objectives.
Secondly, we’re finalists for East Midlands Chamber’s Education and Business Partnership Award, in both Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire.
These two awards recognise further education providers that most effectively support their students in developing crucial employability skills valued by employers. The Nottingham award is sponsored by the Nottingham University, and the Derbyshire award by Matlock building design consultants, Concertus.
We were, in fact, winners of the Education and Business Partnership for Nottinghamshire in both 2020 and 2021. Last year, the judges cited, the ‘immense enthusiasm’ of our Managing Director Corrina Hembury and the ‘clear evidence of the measurable difference the business makes to both business partners and the learners they engage with’.
In particular, it was the ‘social purpose’ of Access that resonated so strongly with the panel.
We’re really hoping to achieve the same success this year. Please wish us luck!
