  • An additional incentive of £1,000 for every new apprentice appointed where they are aged 16 -18 (or 19-24 for care leavers).

Why does my business need an apprentice?

  • Apprenticeships are hugely rewarding for both apprentice and employer. There are many benefits for employers:

  • The financial incentives outlined above.
  • Free recruitment of only the best candidates for your organisation.
  • Retention of existing staff through investment in their development or through fulfilling a qualifications requirement.
  • Creating a structure for staff development that can be applied beyond apprenticeship staff.
  • For the learner, apprenticeships offer tailored off-the-job training and qualifications that act as the springboard for their future career.
Apprenticeships are, undoubtedly, the most financially compelling employment and training incentive. They are available to any employer, regardless of size, and in a variety of different industries and business settings. They can be used to attract new recruits as well as train existing members of staff.
