Finding the right path in early years
Before starting her apprenticeship, Madison was studying Biology, Psychology and Sociology at sixth form. Although she had always been interested in working with children, traditional education didn’t feel like the right fit.

“I never felt like I belonged in that area of education until I found my employer and began my apprenticeship. That’s when I knew I was heading down the right path.”

Madison’s decision to pursue an apprenticeship with Access Training allowed her to step into a hands-on learning environment, combining practical experience with structured learning.

Madison completed both her Level 2 and Level 3 Early Years Education qualifications with Access Training, discovering not just a career, but a long-term passion.

“Even when I thought it was really difficult and maybe it’s not for me, my Trainer Assessor Olivia was amazing and pushed me to be the practitioner I’ve become today.”

Her dedication was recognised with a Distinction, highlighting her commitment to achieving the highest standards.

A bright future
Madison has remained with the same nursery throughout her apprenticeship journey, which has since become part of Kids Planet. Her growth and development have led to significant career progression.

She is now a Room Leader in the baby room, taking on responsibility and leading within her setting.

“I believe I have found my forever career and I couldn’t be happier.”

Looking ahead
Madison is excited about what the future holds and is open to continuing her education as her career develops.

“I would love to go to university and study early years education and see where the future takes me. However, doing my apprenticeship with Access Training was the best thing I did.”
