We’ve secured a major new skills contract with EMCCA
Adult Skills Funding secured for another year
Access Training is proud to announce that we have secured a new Adult Skills contract from the East Midlands Combined County Authority (EMCCA) for the 2025/26 academic year.
This exciting development enables us to continue delivering high-impact training programmes across Nottingham and Derby, supporting adults to gain the confidence, skills, and qualifications they need to enter employment, progress in their careers, or take the next step in their learning journey.

Building on success
The new contract is a natural continuation of the Adult Skills programmes we have successfully delivered over the past four years. We’ll continue to deliver programs tailored to individual’s needs. As part of the EMCCA-funded activity, learners will be able to access flexible courses in areas such as employability and skills development, functional English and maths and vocational qualifications.
Delivery will take place across Nottingham and Derby, with additional training also offered in employer premises and at partner venues, ensuring accessibility and responsiveness to learner and business needs.
Corrina Hembury, Managing Director of Access Training, said: “We’re thrilled to continue our partnership with EMCCA. Over the past three years, we’ve supported 876 learners to achieve 1,473 qualifications - 542 of those in Nottingham and Derby alone. This new funding allows us not only to maintain this momentum but to grow it. We’re aiming to support around 500 learners over the next 12 months.”
