Childcare Apprenticeships are for people who want to work with children and young people. A typical childcare setting will be a nursery, preschool or playgroup. A typical role will be a early-years worker, care worker or nursery nurse. The roles will usually involve things like supporting children’s learning and development through play and communication. It will also involve helping with activities such as snack time, story time and outside play. In a childcare setting apprentices may be required to work both individually, using their own initiative, and as part of a team.
