Apprenticeship & Skills Development Award
Access Training are proud to be finalists for the Apprenticeship and Skills Development Award at the People in Housing Awards Midlands 2026, recognising the impact of our collaborative Property Maintenance Operative apprenticeship delivered with Nottingham Community Housing Association (NCHA). Being named a finalist highlights the strength of a programme built around real world learning, personalised support and a shared commitment to developing confident, job ready tradespeople. Our multi-trade model blends hands on experience with technical training - helping apprentices gain skills in joinery, plumbing, plastering, painting and property maintenance while building the confidence they need to progress. While we didn’t take home the award this time, we’re incredibly proud of the apprentices who make this programme exceptional: learners like Leo, Joe, Alfie, and our newest cohort, all of whom are progressing with enthusiasm, talent and real ambition. We’re also grateful to our partners at NCHA, whose support and shared vision ensure apprentices receive the guidance, mentorship and opportunities they need to thrive. This recognition as a finalist is a celebration of everyone involved, our learners, our trainer assessors, and the teams who work together every day to build skills, confidence and brighter futures. And with the next cohort already in development, we’re more committed than ever to helping people start and grow successful careers in the trades.
