Access Training sets ambitious goals for 2026 As we step into 2026, Access Training is building on a year of growth and success. In 2025, we celebrated major milestones, from securing a new Adult Skills contract with EMCCA and maintaining our Ofsted ‘Good’ rating for the 15th consecutive year, to hosting our annual Apprenticeship Graduation Event, being shortlisted for a prestigious East Midlands Chamber Business Award, and achieving reaccreditation of the Matrix Standard. These achievements reflect our commitment to delivering high-quality training and supporting businesses across the region.

Our vision for 2026
This year, we’re aiming even higher. Our priorities include:
Growing provision for young people
We’ll continue to champion youth employability by expanding our full-time courses to offer more places for Nottingham residents and creating additional apprenticeship opportunities.
Adapting to policy changes
We’re ready to respond to the opportunities created by the Growth and Skills Levy and Youth Guarantee, ensuring employers and learners benefit from new funding and reforms.
Strengthening employer partnerships
Building on our award recognition, we’ll deepen collaboration with businesses to create bespoke training solutions that meet evolving workforce needs.
Driving adult skills development
With the EMCCA contract in place, we’re set to support hundreds more learners in gaining qualifications that open doors to new careers.
Supporting sector compliance
We’ll help more housing providers prepare for the Competence and Conduct Standard coming into force in October 2026, through apprenticeships and CIH qualifications.
