Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC)
What
is Driver CPC?
The Driver CPC training directive came into force on 10
September 2008 for PCV drivers and September 2009 for HGV
drivers. From these dates all professional drivers need to
carry out 35 hours approved training every five years in
order to continue driving for a living.
Is it for me?
If you are already working in the transport industry this
course provides evidence of your competence as a PCV or HGV
driver.

7 Hours Training which
counts towards your 35 hours CPC requirement.
How long do the courses
last?
8.00am
till 8.30am Registration
8.30am till 4.30pm 7 hour
course. (1 hour for breaks)
Where will I learn?
All learning will take place at Access Training's premises in Nottingham or Derby. Please see each individual course for details
What does this lead to?
On completion the candidate
hours will be logged on the DSA Gateway which counts towards
your 35 hours CPC requirement.
