| Schools Plus Child Care

Description |
Access Training staff can deliver
vocationally based Child Care qualifications at KS4 on a
school site. We currently work with Ashfield School, The
Brunts and The Manor School to deliver Foundation and Level
2 qualifications which motivate the more vocationally minded
learner. Units include Care of Children, Nutrition and
Children’s Play and are delivered through a variety of
teaching methods, especially hands on. Assignments are
completed within class enabling students to have the full
support of the teacher. |

Qualifications |
The following are available:
-
City & Guilds Level 2 Certificate in CCLD* which is
the Technical Certificate part of an apprenticeship. It
is the equivalent of 2 GCSE's at Grades A-C
* students
needs to be registered before December 2010 to achieve
this qualification.

NOCN Level 1 Step Up qualification, Award,
Certificate, Diploma specialising in Child Care
